Former president and former army chief Desi Bouterse calls the government’s attitude, en route to the Court-martial’s ruling yesterday on the December 8 criminal trial, aggressive and bellicose.
“They are needlessly putting the community in fear. We tya wan kind of hype could. It is not good. It could end badly itself,” says former president Bouterse at a press conference that is now going on in De Ark Hotel.
In addition, Bouterse calls it heartwarming that people have visited him at home to protect him and his family. “The whole hype has made us have important units there.”
Bouterse knows that buses with armed men have departed and that armed services have positioned themselves under bridges.
