Homicide investigators are expected to approach officials in the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions today for instructions on how to proceed against a 41-year-old woman who is in custody for the killing of businessman John Henry Smith.
Smith was beaten to death at his Maraval home on July 23.
Today marks a month since the incident happened.
The woman was released from the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital on Wednesday and was questioned the following day.
She was kept at a secure location at the Hospital, following her attempted escape on the morning of July 26.
She was later found in the Botanical Gardens by officers of the Port of Spain Task Force.
Since then, Loop News was told that the woman is under constant watch.
