A woman called the Youth Affairs Police today. She was carrying a toddler of about two years old. According to this woman’s statement, she was at an outpatient clinic of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo on July 30 when the mother of this child approached her with the request to watch him as she wanted to go to the toilet.
The woman has not seen the mother since then. The woman took the child to her house in the hope that the mother would come and collect the child. However, this never happened.
Since the names of both the mother and the toddler are not known to the police, the law enforcement officers are asking for help from society in order to trace the mother of this child.
