Suriname: Citizen unpleasantly surprised with significant increase in fuel price

Citizens are unpleasantly surprised today with a sharp increase in the price of fuel. It is the umpteenth increase in the fuel price announced by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation in a few months.

The price for a liter of unleaded petrol without additives, distributed by SOL Suriname will cost SRD 15.95. A liter of unleaded with additives becomes SRD 21.04. For a liter of diesel you have to pay SRD 17.95 per liter.

At GOw2 Energy, the price for a liter of unleaded petrol without additives is SRD 15.95. A liter of diesel costs SRD 17.95.

The price for a liter of diesel distributed by RUBIS goes to SRD 17.95, a liter of unleaded petrol without additives costs SRD 15.95 at RUBIS from today.

According to the ministry, the price increase is again related to the fluctuating world market price for fuel.
