Opposition Senator David Nakhid has lent his voice to the conversation surrounding the reconstruction of the Nelson Mandela Park.

In a statement on Tuesday, one day after Port-of-Spain Mayor Joel Martinez said the proposed project was cancelled, Nakhid labelled the plan as “pathetic”.

He also criticised Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley for his “late”, “disingenuous” and “circumspect” suggestion that the Port-of-Spain Corporation’s resources will be better utilised elsewhere.
