The Jamaica dollar appreciated by three cents on Monday to re-enter the $154 range.
The dollar closed at $154.97 on Monday from $155 on Friday.
It was the first time that the dollar returned to the $154 range since July 13.
Meanwhile, the Canadian dollar closed at $122.59 from $124.49 while the British Pound closed at $213.24 from $214.32.
For the first six months of 2021, the dollar slid nine per cent which was nearly double the amount usually recorded during a regular year.
The country continues to feel the economic effects of COVID-19 which includes reductions in foreign exchange earnings. The dollar started 2021 trading at $142.68 in January.
