A man slashed someone in the head with gardening shears Wednesday morning in Midtown, cops said. 

The suspect attacked the victim around 5:30 a.m. on Eighth Avenue near West 48th Street, police said. 

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening cut on the forehead.

The attacker — who is around 5 feet 9 and 140 pounds, last seen wearing a blue jacket, black pants and a gray winter hat — ran off after the incident.

Cops did not immediately know the gender or age of the victim.
