Tahj Hutchinson, the man charged in relation to the death of his Jamaican-born wife, Jessica Edwards-Hutchinson in the United States, told police that she died during a physical confrontation between the two during which he kneeled on her back and neck until she stopped moving.
Edwards-Hutchinson’s decomposed body was found in a wooded area in East Hartford, Connecticut in the United States last Friday after she went missing on Monday, May 10.
Her husband, a 22-year-old resident of South Windsor, Connecticut, was arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of his 30-year-old wife on the day her body was found.
When Tahj Hutchinson appeared in the Superior Court in Manchester, Connecticut on Monday, his bail bond was increased to US$1.5 million.
The case was subsequently transferred to a Part A Court in Hartford for mention on June 1.
