Evergo, a network of electric vehicle charging stations in the Caribbean and Latin America, is now available in Jamaica.
Electric vehicles foster energy conservation and efficiency in the transport sector. They eliminate high fuel costs, subsequently reducing the country’s energy bill, carbon emissions and other harmful air pollutants that contribute to climate change.
With CEO Wayne McKenzie at its helm, EVPower Jamaica Limited is the managing entity of Evergo in Jamaica and is responsible for installing the charging stations islandwide.
InterEnergy Group, through its innovation division, InterEnergy Systems, debuted the eco-friendly subsidiary at the launch on May 14, 2021, at the LFA Country Store, Richmond Estates, where its first Level two charger was installed and unveiled.
The group has already installed over 250 charging stations in the Dominican Republic and has another 60 earmarked for Jamaica.
