Twin siblings who were less than a month old were found dead inside a Queens NYCHA apartment Thursday afternoon — and their young mother was taken in custody, police sources told The Post.
The infants — a boy and girl, both 26-days-old — were found just after 3 p.m. in an apartment on 51st Street at 32nd Avenue in Woodside, cops said.
Police were called there for a wellness check after a relative called 911 worried that they hadn’t heard from the mother, the sources said.
The boy was found in the bedroom with what appeared to be stab wounds, police sources said. The girl was found wrapped in a pink blanket under the kitchen sink, according to sources.
Cops found a knife at the scene, sources added.
