A former Special Reserve Police Officer in custody after he allegedly confronted a neighbour with a firearm.
Loop News was told that at about 10pm on Sunday the victim was at his home along Mary Street, Sangre Grande, when he heard a noise to the front gate.
Upon checking he observed a man he knew and the scent of alcohol on the man’s breath.
The victim asked the suspect why he was there and the suspect allegedly responded with ‘I is a police’ and then pulled out a firearm.
The victim immediately reacted and grabbed the weapon. There was a struggle, but the victim secured the gun.
