World Health Day is commemorated every year on April 7. In connection with this, President Chan Santokhi will participate in an online discussion on the theme, “Changing Paradigms in a Pandemic World: How Can I Regain Trust?”
This virtual event is a thought-provoking discussion of the ethical implications and consequences of the pandemic, the measures needed to improve individual health and well-being in these unprecedented times, and will strive for a roadmap to promote ethics and values in physical – and scale mental health efforts around the world.
The corona pandemic has caused a global crisis, with far-reaching social, economic and health consequences. Our resilience in these challenging times is tested not only by how we stop the spread of the virus, but also by how we make the most of the circumstances. This requires our collective action. It’s a huge crisis, but it’s also an opportunity for us to reflect on our lives and redefine our roles and responsibilities.
