NYC: Six people injured in Brooklyn after car jumps curb

Six people were injured — three seriously — Friday afternoon when a car jumped the curb in Brooklyn and plowed into pedestrians on the sidewalk, officials said.

The multi-vehicle accident happened just before 1 p.m. at Flatlands Avenue and Flatbush Avenue in the Flatland neighborhood, according to the FDNY.

Three people were taken to area hospitals for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and three others for minor injuries, fire officials said.

It was unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash or how the accident happened.

Video from the scene shows an SUV on the sidewalk with first responders treating a person on the ground just feet away.
