A Rio Claro man is expected to appear before the courts charged with assault and larceny after he beat a 54-year-old man.
The assault allegedly stemmed from allegations that the 54-year-old man stole a quarter-pound of marijuana.
The suspect, a 38-year-old from Guayaguayare Road, Rio Claro, confronted the victim at 10pm on Saturday at the victim’s home along Naparima Mayaro Road, Rio Claro.
He then assaulted the victim, before robbing him of two packs of Broadway cigarettes.
