The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) has been instructed by the Minister of Education, Fayval Williams, to end all relations with persons against whom there are “adverse findings”.
The ministry, in a statement Wednesday, said its directive follows recent revelations that a person with adverse conclusions as to his relations with children was engaged by the CPFSA.
According to local media reports, the CPFSA had been partnering with a United States-based non-profit organisation whose founder and executive director’s education certificate was suspended in the US after it was determined that he had sexually inappropriate exchanges with a minor.
The two-year suspension order was issued by the Superintendent of Public Instruction in the US State of Washington in December 2016. The man in question has been engaged by the CPFSA since 2014.
