Jamaica: Cops divided over possible action against ‘squaddie’ in sex video

Members of the police force are divided over whether action should be taken against the cop at the centre of a social-media firestorm after video footage of him surfaced online performing a sex act on a woman while in his uniform

Rumours have swirled that the constable may not be interdicted at all as the Police Federation has intervened in the matter.

However, when contacted by Loop News, Corporal Rohan James, chairman of the Police Federation, issued a terse ‘no comment’.

“I can’t comment on the matter which is under active investigation,” James said.

On Tuesday, Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson ordered that the policeman be placed on interdiction as an internal investigation got underway.
