Police Commisioner, Gary Griffith, met today with Chaguanas West MP, Dinesh Rambally, and members of the constituency’s business community.
During the meeting, Griffith gave an assurance that he will attend a town meeting to meet with and hear the concerns of residents.
The meeting took place at the Police Administration Building, Port of Spain, and was also attended by Acting Snr Supt Central Division, Curtis Simon.
During the meeting, MP Rambally told the CoP of his constituents’ fear of being the next victim of crime, given recent incidents which occurred in the Central Division.
The MP said residents were looking forward to a partnership between his office and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service to provide improved safety and security in the constituency.
Commissioner Griffith informed MP Rambally that while there was a massive reduction of crime in his constituency, he understands that the fear of crime remains a major concern.
