Government, said with immediate effect, Acting CEO of the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), Allan Poon-King has been replaced by Dr Lennox Sealy who will assume the position of WASA CEO and Executive Director, following the findings of a recent report.
Speaking today at a media briefing, Gonzales said the decision was made following a special Cabinet meeting yesterday.
‘The time has come for us to seriously and critically look into the operations of the Authority and ensure that it delivers on its mandate which is to deliver the people of Trinidad and Tobago with an efficient water supply.’
‘With immediate effect, the chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), Dr Lennox Sealy, will be appointed an executive director and…will assume full control of WASA as an executive director as well as CEO, replacing the current acting CEO, Allan Poon-King.’
