A man accused of beating his ex-lover after she caught him leaving a Kingston hotel with another woman has likened the incident leading up to the alleged assault as a scene from a movie.
The accused’s recounting of the incidents triggered muffled laughter in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Monday, February 15.
“I was leaving an establishment with another female when she jumped through the driver’s window of my car and scratched the other female,” said Joel Williams, “only in the movies have I seen that.”
The January 12 incident allegedly left the complainant with bruises on her fingers, swelling to her neck and pain.
Williams — who is charged with assault — told the court that the relationship with the complainant had ended last October.
