Rachel Deekman is still spokesperson for the Suriname Police Force (KPS). Deekman had announced that she would be replaced. She would be transferred to another department.
“I have changed to a different department, but that change has been deferred by the Minister of Justice and Police. It does no harm. I am also spokesperson for the COVID-19 Coordination team of the KPS, ”says Deekman.
Deekman took over the responsibility of the Public Relations department of the KPS from Humphrey Naarden in November 2020. She has since thanked the media for working together as a police spokesperson.
The inspector who notified the media of the mutation was to be transferred to the International Relations Department.
