“Soho Karen” Miya Ponsetto — who was busted in California for allegedly assaulting the 14-year-old son of jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold at a Manhattan hotel — nearly slammed her car door on a deputy and needed to be yanked from her ride during her arrest, authorities said.
Ponsetto, 22, kept driving when Ventura County deputies tried to stop her near her Piru home around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, local police said.
But she wouldn’t stop until she pulled up to her home — and even then refused to get out of her car, police said.
“She tried to slam the door on one of the deputies and that’s when they just reached in and forcibly removed her,” department Capt. Eric Buschow told the Associated Press, adding that the sheriff’s office would request that county prosecutors charge her with resisting arrest.
Ponsetto was booked at a pre-trial detention facility in Ventura, where she is being held without bail for the fugitive warrant, according to police.
