Construction workers were faced with a somewhat unsettling discovery after finding bones while working at the Port of Spain General Hospital.
Loop News was told that the find was made about midday yesterday at the western side of the hospital compound while construction workers were on duty.
Work was briefly halted after they saw bones protruding from the mud. The employees notified the police, and the bones were seized.
Officials said the bones will be taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St James to undergo testing to determine whether the bones are human.
