The vice-delegate of Corail, a town in the Grand’Anse Department, has been accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl at gunpoint on Saturday.
Mesga Chaumette was appointed as Corail’s vice-delegate on Apr. 10, 2017. The girl’s accusation was confirmed by Arold Nicholas, an attorney from the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC).
Similar stories of sexual assaults have broken out in the Grand’Anse Department in the past two years, according to news reports.
