The Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) advises visitors to only visit the Emergency Department (A&E) if it concerns urgent cases. Every year around the turn of the year, hospital staff are confronted with a large influx of people at the ER.

The hospital management makes an urgent appeal to society to avoid this department as much as possible around the turn of the year and especially today and January 1.

If you do not need urgent help, you are referred to the following medical centers:
