Two shotguns were seized in Toco yesterday.
The weapon was seized during an operation which took place between 2pm and 6pm by officers of the Eastern Division’s Special Operation’s Unit, under the supervision of Snr Sup Aguilal and the coordination of Cpl Ramnarine.
The officers received information which led them to Tractor Road, off the Toco Main Road, where they conducted a search of a bushy area. There they found and seized one sawed off shot gun, and 12-gauge shot gun with five rounds of 12-gauge ammunition.
No one was arrested in connection with the find.
However, the weapons and ammunition are expected to be sent for ballistic testing.
