The oldest hospital in Suriname, where the most babies are born every year, ‘s Lands Hospitaal, has eight Christmas babies this year. On Christmas Day, five infants saw the light of day, with the first at 5:16 am. Stephanie Drielingen has become the mother of a son.
Later that day, two more boys and two girls were born. Three babies were registered on Boxing Day. It concerns two girls and a boy. Henkiline Amato’s son was the firstborn of that day at 7:54 am.
Until then, the ‘s Lands Hospital counted 3,496 babies for 2020. This is an achievement in itself, which has already broken last year’s record, the hospital reports.
