Investigations have been launched into the discovery of ammunition, and a quantity of marijuana, which were found in abandoned cabinets at the Oropouche police station.
The discovery was made at 11:30am on Wednesday by cleaners.
The cleaners were on the southern side of the police station, and were cleaning out old cabinets for removal.
Upon opening one of the abandoned cabinets, the cleaners found a clear plastic bag with 40 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Next to it was a blue plastic bag with eight clear plastic packets of dried marijuana.
The senior officers of the station were notified and the items were seized.
