Kerry-Ann Collins, who was severely burned at her Kingston-based home as she prepared a meal last month, has died.
Kimika Lobban, organiser of a GoFundMe page created to raise funds for the burnt woman to airlift her overseas for medical treatment, shared the news on the crowdfunding website on Wednesday.
“It is with great sadness that we report that Kerry-Ann passed away at 9:15 am this morning. Our prayers are with her family at this time. A formal update will follow to all donors,” stated Lobban.
Up to Wednesday morning, US$19,065 was raised of the US$773,000 goal required from the crowdfunding efforts.
Collins had been admitted at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) since November 27, with little hope, and had been suffering severe pain.
