Guyler Delva, head of press freedoms group SOS Journalists, was found paralyzed and unconscious Tuesday before being taken to a hospital in Pétion-Ville, Port-au-Prince.
Delva went missing on Sunday and was feared kidnapped, but it appears he had suffered a stroke, according to TripFoumi Enfo.
Meanwhile Tuesday, kidnappers released Philippe ‘Pipo’ Augustin, a guitarist with musical group Strings, and Maritza Beaubrun, the wife of the National Palace’s security chief. Augustin and Beaubrun were taken hostage on Thursday and Sunday, respectively, and were released after undisclosed amounts of ransom were paid. Source
