Criminal elements in Princes Town showed no fear for the police when they robbed a marked police vehicle on Saturday afternoon.
A team of officers arrived at Ire Village Branch Trace at 3.10pm to conduct inquiries.
They parked their vehicle, a marked Nissan X-Trail, along the roadway.
However, when they returned a short time later, they observed a man leaning against the car.
The man allegedly was attempting to grab a pouch which contained the personal effects of a police constable – including keys, a flash drive, cellular phones, and his TTPS Identification Card and badge.
The officers raised an alarm, but the suspect grabbed the bag and immediately turned around and ran.
