As of Monday, November 23, the government will partially open Suriname’s airspace to commercial flights on the Mid-Atlantic route (Amsterdam-Paramaribo, vice versa) and pre-arranged regional flights.
Every Monday airlines are allowed to operate commercial flights in a regulated and controlled manner. This is linked to a number of passengers per flight per week determined by the authorities.
Travelers can book their tickets through travel agents or airlines as of that date. The consent of the Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation (BIBIS) for residents will lapse.
