Surgery is expected to be performed today at the San Fernando General Hospital to remove the object stuck in the arm of a two-year-old boy.
The boy suffered an injury at his home in Teelucksingh Trace, Barrackpore, on Saturday night during Divali celebrations, which required hospitalization.
However, despite an X-Ray being taken, officials and the family are no closer to knowing what is stuck in the child’s arm.
While it was suspected that the object may be shrapnel from fireworks, which was going off nearby, police have also been told that the object resembles a bullet.
The object is expected to be removed today and examined.
