One of the Black Lives Matter protesters who allegedly assaulted and tried to rob a dog-walker who confronted them near Central Park late last month surrendered to cops this week, authorities said.
Desmond Marrero, 25, was part of a group of Black Lives Matter protesters at the corner of Central Park West and West 67th Street on the Upper West Side around 3:20 p.m. Oct. 24, police said.
The group was chanting, “Whose streets? Our streets?” when a 40-year-old man walking his dog nearby responded that he believed the streets were “everybody’s streets,” police said.
That prompted the protesters to surround him — one of them punching him in the head and pushing him to the ground, police said.
