Police said a man has been hospitalised and another is in police custody after a stabbing incident in San Juan.
In a statement issued today, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said the 46-year-old victim told police that on October 30 he was driving toward Laventille Road when he almost collided with another vehicle.
He said they both got out of their vehicles and a heated argument ensued. They then drove off in different directions.
Police were told that on November 2, the victim and the man got into yet another argument, during which the victim allegedly drew a short cutlass from his vehicle and ‘planassed’ him, that is, dealt the man several blows about his body.
The man then allegedly drew a knife and stabbed the victim several times about the body before returning to his vehicle and driving away.
