A creepy New Jersey cop sent sexually explicit text messages to an 18-year-old woman just hours after arresting her, saying she was “cute” and that he wanted to “pay” her back for the encounter, authorities said.
Neptune City police officer Damien Broschart, 29, of Howell, is facing charges of cyber harassment and hindering apprehension of oneself for contacting the woman earlier this month after arresting her on drug charges and moving violations during a traffic stop, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Broschart, who has worked in law enforcement for five years, drove the woman back to her vehicle after she was processed and released by police, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said.
Broschart then deactivated his police bodycam and mobile video recorder before asking the woman for her telephone number, Gramiccioni said.
