Three new international hotel brands are set to open their doors early in 2021.
The Radisson Blu Hotel and The Brix Hotel by Marriott in Trinidad and Comfort Inn Suites in Tobago are all scheduled to open in 2021 with The Radisson Blu scheduled to welcome its first guests as early as March.
A release from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Art said these three properties represent the government’s strategic approach to ensuring that there is more quality room stock available with the addition of 300 rooms. It is part of the Ministry’s strategy of providing attractive incentives under the Tourism Development Act (TDA).
Randall Mitchell, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts says: ‘These three hotels in total will add 312 high-quality rooms to the available room stock on both islands. Although borders have been closed since March, the operators of these three major hotel brands are eager to open their doors as they have diligently studied the local market and developed marketing strategies for their properties that would redound to high occupancy levels and an overall positive image for destination Trinidad and Tobago.’
