Trinidad & Tobago: Over $300K in ‘sou sou’ money stolen

Police said over $325,000 was reportedly stolen last night from a popular ‘sou sou’ organisation in Arouca.

Loop News was told that the victim, who allegedly works at the company, told police that at around 6.30 pm yesterday, she was leaving Trincity Mall with a duffel bag that contained the cash belonging to the company.

At the time she was in the company of a male relative. However upon reaching the vicinity of a local nail spa, the two were approached by a man unknown to them.

There was a confrontation and a struggle between the parties, however, the suspect managed to snatch the bag away.
