A confrontation between two police officers in Sangre Grande on Saturday night has engaged the attention of senior officers of the Eastern Division.
One of the officers was shot.
The incident took place at about 11pm on Saturday, at a home along Valley Road.
The two officers, who know each other, were at the home of a 31-year-old woman when they got into an argument.
According to one officer, who is attached to the Gender Based Violence Unit, the other man put a knife to his throat.
