At the Stichting Radio Omroep Suriname (SRS) on the Jacques van Eersteraat, thieves took off with important documents during an armed robbery on Sunday morning. The thieves gagged the guard at the break-in.
SRS director Guno Ravenberg says in conversation with Suriname Herald that he had the report by 3 a.m. in the early morning. “I got a call from the guard that he is tied there and that it has been broken into,” says Ravenberg. The thieves have taken the company’s safe and other important documents.
Ravenberg goes on to say that the police are working on the investigation and wants to leave the case to the police.
