NYC: Man gunned down in Far Rockaway as neighborhood sees spike in homicides

A 27-year-old man was fatally shot in Queens on Wednesday afternoon, cops said.

The victim was found at about 5:45 p.m. with several bullet wounds to his torso outside of an apartment building at 207 Beach 31 St. in Far Rockaway, according to police.

EMS took the man to nearby St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, but he could not be saved, authorities said.

No arrests were made as of early Thursday morning.

Police did not immediately provide any suspect description or a possible motive.

Murders in the 101 Precinct, where Wednesday night fatal shooting occurred, have skyrocketed in 2020.
