Jamaica: 4.5 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Several Parishes

An earthquake was felt in parts of Jamaica this morning.

The US Geological Survey reports that the magnitude of the tremor was 4.5 and hit around five kilometres south-south east of Alexandria, St Ann.

It happened around 7:28 a.m at a depth of 10 kilometres. 

Readers told The Gleaner that the quake was felt in parts of St Ann, St Catherine, Manchester, Hanover, St Elizabeth Clarendon, St James, Trelawny, Kingston, and St Andrew.
