Jamaica: More water lock-offs for St Andrew communities

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that it has been forced to implement new water regulation measures for some St Andrew communities due to significant shortfalls in inflows to the Hope and Mona water systems.

The NWC says systems are now experiencing more severe drought conditions.

As a result, it has had to adjust how water is provided to residents supplied by the Hope Filter Plant.

These regulations will commence today.
