The Flow Foundation is to roll out a $60 million national development pilot programme in support of digital education and entrepreneurship across Jamaica.
According to Flow Foundation Chairman Stephen Price, many Jamaicans and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are being left behind amid the digital transformation.
The digital learning element of the programme is aimed at increasing connectivity for school and communities and providing certified online training for professionals.
The other element will support MSMEs through a JumpStart programme for entrepreneurs.
This includes pitching for funding; support for micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses at the community level as well as support for a virtual entrepreneurship expo.
