5 people arrested in the Delmas 75 massacre
Sunday in Delmas 83, 5 people were arrested for questioning as part of the investigation into the massacre of Saturday in Delmas 75 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-31142-icihaiti-society-a-political-meeting-goes-wrong-3-dead.html which left 3 dead following a political meeting that went wrong. Among these 5 suspects, 2 participated in the meeting during the tragedy.
The Archbishop of Miami, Wenski writes to Pompeo
In a letter to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the Archbishop of Miami, Thomas Wenski called for a moratorium on the deportation of Haitians during the coronavirus pandemic, warning “[…] the capacity of Haiti’s health care system responding to Covid-19 cases is already at its limit, making the influx of new cases particularly dangerous. I urge you to stop the deportations of individuals to Haiti in the interest of public health and stability in Haiti.”
