BARBADOS FIRE SERVICE’S FIRST CHAPLAIN IS REV. ADRIAN ODLE

Sunday, October 13 was a historic day for the officers of the Barbados Fire Service (BFS), who witnessed the installation of their first Chaplain, Reverend Adrian Odle.

At the 64th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service, Rev. Odle, who is currently the Reverend of the Bethel Methodist Church, expressed his desire as a man of God to exercise a ministry of pastoral care to the BFS officers.

Under the theme, “Facing the Challenges in Our Community”, the new BFS chaplain said that there will never be a life without a challenge. He added that challenges will be personal, spiritual or financial, but they are not meant to defeat us but help us to become stronger.

“Through the experience of that challenge, we have seen how God has worked and above all we have come through the experience with flying colours,” said Rev. Odle.
