Dominican Republic: FJT shows the ranking of the senators who worked the most

The Legislative Observatory of the Justice and Transparency Foundation (FJT) reported that Senators Adriano Sánchez Roa, Eddy Mateo Vásquez, Félix Bautista, Santiago Zorrilla and José Ignacio Paliza lead the ranking of legislators who submitted more legislative initiatives in the period of August 2018 to July 2019.

The report provided that was made based on the records of the Senate website, indicates that the members of the upper house submitted 219 individual initiatives, passing 154 in this body.

The study of the entity of analysis and legal, social, transparency and legislative approaches, also reported that the senators with the largest number of initiatives introduced, were in the following order: Sánchez Roa 42; Mateo Vásquez 33; Felix Bautista 28; Santiago Zorrilla 22; Beat 22; and Amarilis Santana 18.

Likewise, there was an intense work in commissions, descents and public hearings with diverse legislative pieces, which allowed consulting the sectors involved.
