Former NBA star Sebastian Telfair hit with 3½ years in the slammer for gun possession, sparking rants of innocence

Ex-NBA star and former Brooklyn high school phenom Sebastian Telfair was slapped Monday with 3½ years behind bars for gun possession, dodging the 15-year max — but proclaimed his innocence in wild, disjointed rants throughout the hearing.

The agitated baller, convicted of criminal possession of a weapon in April after cops recovered a gun from his car during a traffic stop arrest in July 2017, lamented an array of family and career woes in the sporadic outbursts before Judge John Hecht in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

God still sits on the throne,” Telfair, 33, a Brooklyn native who now lives in Orlando, Fla., repeatedly intoned, delivering a bizarre statement that included claims of his community service, the unfairness of his trial, and lying by the police.

“My kids gonna think I hurt somebody,” he told the court, with one of his lawyers, Barry Krimsky, explaining Telfair fears his kids will think he’s done something to hurt somebody if he winds up in prison.
