For María Mercedes Ortiz Diloné, mayor of the municipality of Salcedo of the Herbal Mirabal province, the fundamental problem facing that community is the repair of neighborhood roads in a town where 40 percent of its territory is rural and eminently agricultural.
Ensures that 80% of the urban area is paved with sidewalks and containers in good condition, so intervention in the fields is required to improve access to farms and the output of products.
“Neighborhood roads are the fundamental problem that we are dealing with in a neuralgic way. Access is a delay or development in each of the communities. We are working to guarantee access and that people can bring their products, ”said the mayor.
