A 13-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder, possibly by a stray bullet, in a Brooklyn playground Wednesday night, police said.
The shooting took place around 8 p.m. in St. Andrew’s Playground at Kingston Ave. and Herkimer St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said, adding that they do not believe she was the intended target.
Medics took her to Kings County Hospital, then transferred her to Maimonides Hospital, police said. She was in stable condition.
The shooting comes less than two months after three people were shot during a Memorial Day barbecue inside St. Andrew’s Playground. All three victims survived.
