A brazen gunman shot a man dead inside a Brooklyn deli, then tucked the gun into a Gucci fanny pack as he ran off Wednesday, police said.
Just before 7:40 p.m., two men entered the Classic Deli at Bergen St. and Kingston Ave. in Crown Heights and suddenly there was gunfire, a man from the area told the Daily News. Two shots rang out, he said, “then there were three more shots and a man was on the floor bleeding from the mouth.” He told The News there were wounds in the victim’s neck and stomach.
“He was still breathing and everybody around was saying call the ambulance.”
Police said the victim was 48, but they withheld his name pending notification of his family. Sources in the neighborhood said bullets hit the man in the forearm, neck, chest and stomach, and police confirmed that he had been shot multiple times.
